Zumzum Financials Knowledge Base
Overview:
Creating a dimension in Zumzum Financials allows you to capture and analyse the business context of your transactions through user-defined categories. This feature enables you to track performance across various aspects such as profit centers, projects, or funds, providing valuable insights into different areas of your business. To set up a dimension, navigate to the Setup tab or directly to the Dimensions tab. Click on the Dimensions button, then select New to create a new dimension. Enter a name for the dimension and choose a Dimension Type to determine which Dimension Field it will be used in (e.g., Dimension 1 through Dimension 6). Activate the dimension by ticking the “Active” checkbox, and click Save to finalise the setup. This process enhances your ability to categorize and monitor transactions effectively within your financial system.
How To Create Dimensions

- Go to the Setup(Zumzum) tab or directly to the Dimensions tab.
- Click the Dimensions button from the Setup(Zumzum) tab.
- Select New.
- Enter a Dimension Name.
- Select a Dimension type to to decide which Dimension Field this may be used in (e.g. Dimension 1, Dimension 2, Dimension 3, Dimension 4, Dimension 5, Dimension 6.
- Click “Active” to make your Dimension available within the system.
- Click Save.
