Reconcile Bank Accounts

Zumzum Financials Knowledge Base

    Overview:

Reconciling bank accounts is the process of matching and verifying the transactions recorded in a company’s financial records with those shown on its bank statement. This ensures that the company’s recorded balance aligns with the bank’s reported balance, identifying and correcting discrepancies such as errors, omissions, or unauthorised transactions. Regular bank reconciliations help maintain accurate financial records, detect potential fraud, and ensure the accuracy of cash flow and financial reporting.

You can use the bank reconcile option to match the bank transactions entered into Zumzum Financials with those on the statement from your bank. Reconciling these values means the bank balances and transactions in Zumzum Financials are accurate.

You should reconcile your bank account each time you receive a statement from your bank. Before reconciling your bank account, you should make sure you’ve entered all of your transactions up to the end of your bank statement.
