Overview:
Users may encounter a challenge when attempting to upload attachments for Document Templates. This issue stems from Salesforce’s transition towards using files instead of attachments starting with the Winter ’18 release, which resulted in the disabling of attachments. Consequently, users are unable to upload logos or other images to Document Templates directly.
Document Template Issue
There is a known issue in Zumzum Financials that the “Upload Attachment” button is hidden on the Document Template records, making it impossible to load a new image file.
Document Template Solution
- Go to Salesforce>Setup
- Search for Salesforce Files in the ‘Quick Find’ box,
- then select General Settings.
- Disable “Files uploaded to the Attachments related list on records are uploaded as Salesforce Files, not as attachments“
- Go to the Invoice Template and select “Attach File“
- Select the image file you wish to upload and follow the onscreen instructions.
- Repeat steps 1 to 4 to re-enable “Files uploaded to the Attachments related list on records are uploaded as Salesforce Files, not as attachments”
By following the steps outlined above, you can successfully upload image files to Document Templates in Zumzum Financials despite the limitations imposed by Salesforce’s file management transition. This workaround ensures that you can continue to use and update your Document Templates effectively.
